Over the last year, ATTLAS has been perfecting his brand of atmospheric and ethereal, yet tastefully heavy techno and progressive house. As one of the exceptional artists brought on by Deadmau5‘s imprint Mau5trap, ATTLAS has had some tremendous opportunities to build his name, such as remixing Nero’s “Into The Night” and Gallant’s “Weight in Gold,” not to mention his contribution to “Star Wars Headspace.”
With his new original, “Aspen,” the newcomer continues to develop a sound that is intellectually and spiritually stimulating. Layer upon layer of sonic candy flow and progress consistently, delivering a refined and sophisticated listening experience throughout the entire eight and a half minutes. Also intertwining with the subtle rolling bass and simple synth lead line is a sample of children singing a verse of the Indian national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana,” which gives the track a cultured, exotic character.
