Dreamstate made its Californian debut as Christmas season began in 2015, drawing thousands of dedicated American trance fans to San Bernadino’s NOS Events Center for two days of their beloved music. The sold-out affair proved wildly successful, giving way to a subsequent festival in the Bay Area. More recently, Dreamstate announced its first international foray into Australia.
The “Trance Destination” is approaching its second iteration, this time expanding to four stages. After a ten-day span of artist announcements, Dreamstate’s full lineup is as broad as it is finely curated. What will likely be the main stage is populated by acts including Ferry Corsten’s Gouryella, Kyau & Albert, and Paul van Dyk. Psy artists make up a significant part of the bill this year as well, as legends Ace Ventura, Vini Vici, and Neelix will represent the subgenre’s progressive sounds.
Perhaps Dreamstate 2016’s crown jewel is the Timeless stage, which was introduced on the last day of announcements. Featuring local artists who’ve contributed greatly to trance music as well as revered underground icons, The Thrillseekers, Kristina Sky, Richard Durand, and Talla 2XLC among others prepare to take their audiences through the music’s older and newer days.
Rounding out the list are uplifting talents including Talla 2XLCand Darren Porter, while Mark Sherry, Jordan Suckley, and John Askew make up some of the tech lineup. The list in its entirety is more than enough to satisfy all ends of fandom, rivaling that of European events such as ASOTNL.
