Teesa Houston and “Mighty” Mike McGarity’s artist project, KOLAJ, has seen its fair share of success over the past year. Outside of their stunning covers of Adele’s “Hello” and The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face,” the duo earned a spot on Kaskade’s latest album with a feature on “Whatever” and released a single with singer-rapper Quinn XCII called “100 Degrees.”
However, their first traction came about when their debut single “The Touch” hit #1 on Hype Machine and Spotify’s Viral Charts. Now, adding to its success, the single has been re-released on Darkroom/Interscope Records. Beautifully blending both indie and dance elements, “The Touch” balances the feel-good effect of the tropical genre without comprising the freshness of KOLAJ’s sonic aesthetic.
