Don’t let the name “DJ Khaled” turn you away from this remix, Medasin did this one justice.
“Wild Thoughts” is actually one of the better tracks from DJ Khaled’s album Grateful, no doubt in small part to vocals from Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. And for the most part, none of the original production makes it into Medasin’s remix. Instead, the remix has one of the more interesting arrangements that we’ve heard in a long time.
It’s not quite future bass, it’s not quite trap, nor indie dance, but somehow a chimera of all three, indistinguishable in the grand scheme. It’s a beautifully orchestrated combination of sounds, synths and vibes that all coalesce into one tight package.
