Paul Nolan and Sam Pauli, co-founders of Chapter 24 Records, continue their collaborative efforts with the release of Atoms, a new EP featuring remixes from Miyagi and Danny Oliveria. Founded in February of 2015, the aim of Chapter 24 Records is to cultivate musical storytelling through sounds that preserve the roots of underground house and techno music.
Featuring the vocals of Reiver, “Atoms” both soothes and engages the listener. Nolan and Pauli prove that there is still something to be excited about when listening to classic dance music loops by layering the seemingly far away vocals of Reiver on top of the trademark swelling synths of true progressive house melodies.
Miyagi and Danny Oliveria, each make “Atoms” their own. Miyagi with his blend of deep, hypnotic, atmospheric house, turns the track into a peaceful sound perfect for dancing in the sun, while Danny Olivieria infuses his blend of heavy drums into the track for a heavier, dance floor anthem sound.
There are only atoms and the void. So it goes.
But hold a mirror up to the void and you will discover that it is by no means empty nothingness.
Beyond the atoms, there is hope…
All in all, it’s another standout release from Chapter 24 Records.
