After making fans wait until June for his first release of 2016, Ryan Hemsworth finally whet their appetite with the release of “How It Felt.” Seemingly uninterested in prolonging the time between his next release, the Canadian producer has dropped another new original, “Burying The Sun.”
As always, “Burying The Sun” is another evolution of Hemsworth’s singular style. The producer leans more into his dreamy tendencies on this latest track, giving it a loose feel that belies its meticulous and articulate production. The track maintains a near constant energy throughout — a peaceful, rolling meander — and is centered around a solid, thumping sub bass. The composition further features undulating string arpeggios, steel drums, and intriguing samples that, in the hands of a lesser talent, would seem out of place.
