House. Tech House. Techno. No one does it better than Toolroom Records. The mighty UK label has once again put together one of the years finest albums, representing the best talent from each selective genre with a few of my favourite artists like Mark Knight, Bontan, CamelPhat, Rene Amesz, and many many more. The album also features a wide variety of music from the Toolroom catalogue, a mix of the old and the new, that gives an excellent introduction and education to each genre.
They’ve dusted off some classics, like the UMEK remix to Fedde Le Grand’s “Metrum”, Dusky’s captivating re-edit to Cloud 9’s “Do You Want Me Baby”, and even Bontan’s intoxicating remix to Mark Knight’s “Downpipe”, leaving this beautiful aura of nostalgia.
Mike Vale makes his presence known on the album with his sizzling single, “Dark Rooms” that never seems to get old, no matter how many times I hear it. Also, don’t sleep on Ben Remember’s “We Feel”. It’s a tune that is still lighting up dance floors and my personal favorite from the album!
Going along with the album is also some new and improved swag from Toolroom. They’ve designed a clothing collection specifically modeled after this album. After you shop the look, you’ll not want to shop anywhere else!
With over 60 tracks, along with three exclusive guest mixes, ‘House, Tech House, Techno‘ is a must have album for this summer. Grab your copy on iTunes!
