In celebration of Universal Music’s brand new, Latin America-centered sub label Aftercluv coming out of the woodworks, the dance music exclusive collective has just released its latest original. Alex Midi, former student of Frankie Knuckles and one of Mexico’s up and comers, teamed up for a thunderous house tune with vocalist Elle Vee called “Magic,” along with an associated “Future Bass Edit.”
Coming as the region’s very first, all-inclusive dance music imprint, Aftercluv took great care in ensuring only the most powerful and memorable tunes would make their final cut. Thankfully, Alex Midi stepped up the plate and delivered in full.
The Future Bass Edit is more of a house tune than anything else, featuring a pounding percussion section and undeniably bouncy bass synth. With Elle Vee’s soaring vocals and a fiercely club-oriented rhythm, “Magic” is sure to fit well among the rest of the label’s exciting prospects to come.
