Norwegian songstress Julie Bergan has come to own a particular brand of electronic pop emerging from the Nordics of late. On return from her early 2017 single, “Blackout,” and the outright streaming smash “Arigato,” the rising artist takes a more urban-savvy stance at the outset of the Summer.
As catchy and energetic as we’ve come to expect from Bergan’s output to date, “If You Love Me,” moves and grooves with less of a lean towards the electronic dance world than her prior singles. Whilst this sounds like a subtle departure, the track stays true to Bergan’s sentimental pop precedent, keeping with the notion that Julie Bergan is leading the world of Norwegian electronic pop with huge international prospects for 2017.
