Build Your Network And Learn About The Industry At EDMbiz 2016

Brian Poles

Moving to its new home in Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, EDMbiz 2016 is set to be one of the top networking events and electronic music conferences of the year. During EDC Week in Las Vegas, Insomniac Events holds their annual conference prior to the extravagant weekend which is EDC. This year marking their 5th installment of the event. Insomniac has booked what is a great lineup of speakers, panels and events to make this a one-of-a-kind experience spanning from Tuesday, June 14 through Thursday, June 16.

For 2016, the conference is expanding to two stages to encompass the conference’s three cornerstones which are: experience, technology, and aspiration. Not only will we be hearing numerous speeches, but will also hear and partake in discussion on the most pressing and important topics surrounding electronic music today.

There will be panels and networking opportunities as well. Attendees will have their chance to meet some of the most influential people in the business. EDMbiz is also curating a mentorship program hosted by Little Empire Music and SkyLight.

This years speakers list includes a wide variety of individuals who have made their mark in the industry. Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac’s founder and CEO is one of the keynote speakers along with Armin van Buuren, Bob Lefsetz. Along with those keynote speakers we have many other heavyweights of the industry speaking such as Jason Bentley, music director of KCRW; Amy Pham, social media influencer; and Rob Light, managing partner and head of Worldwide Music.

Among the artists that are speaking there is Jauz, Marshmello, Markus Schulz, Nicole Moudaber, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Laidback Luke, Kennedy Jones, and Junkie XL. There is a wide representation of artists present who are speaking to tell their stories and speak of their respective genres plus whatever else they have to share.

Over the course of these three days there will be plenty of opportunities to present yourself and learn about the dance music industry. This is a great chance for anyone aspiring to jump into this business to get their foot in the door and network. Badges are still available for sale which you can purchase here ranging from $150 which grants you access to the expo floor to $399 for the all-access pass. Students, you do get a discount so this is an especially great opportunity for anyone who wants to glance into the community to get it.

I really can’t speak of the benefits of attending this conference enough. If you were on the rope about attending I hope this will help sway you. There really is nothing to lose and all to gain by going to this event. So go and put yourself out there, network with professionals in the industry, and learn all about the dance music community at EDMbiz while soaking up that Vegas sun.
