Dr. Fresch Throws It Back With “No Love” Featuring TLC
Throwback Thursday showed up a day early country see of Dr. Fresch’s latest release. Instead of breaking it down, I’ll our favorite Doctor break it down for you.
“My goal with ‘No Love’ was to take elements of 90’s Hip Hop and R&B and place them within the context of my “Future Ghetto” style. I chose to sample TLC because “No Scrubs” is a true staple of 90’s R&B culture, and I wanted to see how vocal elements from the classic could convey a different vibe when paired with deeper instrumentation. I think the marriage between UK House style basses, trap percussion and TLC’s vocals offers an incredibly unique, novel and emotional take on R&B – I hope my fans dig this one!” – Dr. Fresch
