There are certain classics in dance music that you would consider untouchable or forbidden from remixing… “Language” by Porter Robinson used to be one of those untouchables, until Kayzo & Gammer and Jauz broke the dam last year. Now, Ekali and Quix have also put their spin on the classic.
It’s hard to start a “Language” remix without those original chords and vocals, and the same is done for this interpretation. However, the homage ends there as that recognizable synth build is punctuated by claps and modified percussion, leading into a trappy, still Porter-esque drop that is absolutely beautiful.
The whole thing lasts just under three minutes, but it seems perfectly in tune with the live sets of either Quix or Ekali. Check it out below.
