Insomniac’s largest music festival series, Electric Daisy Carnival, is set to debut in India this November, according to a company-issued press release. Since departing its original Los Angeles location in 2011, EDC has expanded beyond its flagship Las Vegas location to Mexico, Brazil, England, and more. Insomniac’s introduction of EDC in Delhi, India marks the brand’s entrance into South East Asia’s growing dance music market.
According to Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella, the newest EDC edition will be a “multidimensional music experience” that honors India’s traditional culture and charms the country’s dance music scene, which grew from its nightclub lifestyle.
The forthcoming festival, which takes place November 12 and 13, will be Asia’s first official EDC, since Insomniac postponed the Tokyo edition, which was supposed to take place last month.
