When former Crystal Castles front woman Alice Glass released a graphic statement implicating group co-founder, Ethan Kath, of rape and prolonged psychological abuse, the group immediately began cancelling scheduled tour stops due to the controversy. Now, according to sources from TMZ, Kath has responded one month later with a lawsuit accusing his former bandmate of defamation.
Kath’s suit is claiming that Glass’ allegations have cost the band as much as $300,000 in profits from a recently canceled tour. Kath issued the following statement on Glass’ claims, citing substance abuse issues as the real reason behind her departure from the electro-punk music group.
