Five Unexpected Songs That Were Produced By Calvin Harris

In anticipation of even more Calvin Harris singles coming our way, Billboard did some digging and found five of the most unexpected songs that the Scottish producer/DJ created for other artists. Modern classics by some of pop’s biggest names, such as Chris Brown and Rihanna, and well-known hits from the likes of Kylie Minogue and Cheryl are all included on the list, adding even more weight to Harris’ already impressive roster of work.

  1. First up is “In My Arms” by Kylie Minogue, produced in 2007 and acclaimed as one of the Australian vocalist’s best tracks.

2. Next is “Yeah x3” by Chris Brown, one of 2011’s most recognizable pop hits. Although the track wasn’t orginally created by Harris, he was later given credit after it was found out how similar the track sounded to Calvin’s own “I’m Not Alone.”

3. Third on the list is Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been,” a song that continues to get stuck in my head even five years after its release. This song came as an early precursor to the highly esteemed collaboration between the two, “This Is What You Came For,” which was certified platinum earlier this year.

4. Next up is Cheryl’s “Call My Name,” off her third studio album in 2012. The track saw immense success in Europe, reaching the top of the charts in Ireland, Scotland and the UK.

5. Last, we have “I Will Never Let You Down” by Rita Ora. During her relationship with Harris, when he supposedly produced an entire album for her, the single was released by itself. After they broke up, the rest of the album was shut away before the public could get their hands on it.
