Flosstradamus are the undisputed original dons of trap music, but their creative process spans much further than patching together massive 808s and hip-hop samples. Stepping away from their norm on their latest release, Flosstradamus recruit producer duo FKi and Graves on “Came Up,” finished with an infectious hook and verse work from Post Malone and Key!. The track finds Curt and Josh flexing their production muscles, proctoring a summer-primed, R&B-inspired future bass piece with a creative blend of talent all lending their contributions on “Came Up.”
Since Flosstradamus mashed up Post Malone’s breakout hit “White Iverson” with Jack Ü and Justin Bieber’s inescapable “Where Are Ü Now” a closer collaboration between the Chicago trap lords and the emerging young rapper became imminent. Now we find Post crooning about the hardships of the “come up” complemented by impressive production work from Floss, FKi and Graves. Listen below:
