Maidstone’s own Nic Fanciulli is a noticeably precious remixer, but what the Saved Records head honcho lacks in quantity he more than makes up for with quality. In the wake of his more recent edit of ‘From The Disco,’ the UK heavyweight takes the reigns of Jamie XX’s latest In Colour single fr a welcome clash of Saved stamina VS the Young Turks’ talent pool. Transporting the airy tones of ‘SeeSaw’ into an ascending moment of murky melodic club work, there’s a sense of Fanciulli treading respectfully over the Romy assisted single. This is not an easy artist to improve on, but Fanciulli rises to the task to assert himself as an increasingly gleaming presence on the European front.
