ATTLAS has returned to deadmau5’s Mau5trap Presents Beats 1 radio show. For the series’ eighth broadcast, Zimmerman’s protege hosts the first hour, in lieu of his mentor. Commencing the mix with his newest original,”Ryat,” ATTLAS then further delivers a collection of diverse, cutting edge material. As usual, the DJ doesn’t pigeonhole himself to a certain genre or tempo, keeping listeners’ interest by vacillating between relaxed, ethereal atmospheres and formidable, technically impressive bass music.
Fellow Canadian Mau5trap artist Eekkoo joins ATTLAS for this episode, lending his skills to mix the second hour of the Broadcast. ATTLAS notes that his guest purveys “laser-focused examples of where modern techno is going,” which Eekkoo represents by playing a number of new tracks from himself and cuts from the likes of Jonas Rathsman, ANNA, and Jeremy Olander over the course of his hourlong mix.
