With a keen ear and earnest approval, Mad Decent packs together rich remixes of Calypso Rose’s “Leave Me Alone.” Electronica, house, and a healthy dose of bass all make an appearance, portrayed by producers Yaeji, Tony Quattro, Gregor Salto, Aquadrop, and Mina. As a label that prides itself on supporting new talent, Mad Decent is never short on releases and content. The imprint defined its sound in the latter half of the 2010s as somewhere between party/bass and pop, with its roster showcasing newer and older artists within this spectrum. Having just dropped Volume 5 of their Very Decent Christmas compilation, giving and generosity is an apparent ideal the label is latching on to this season as they bring more music to the masses.
