“… each sound offers a depth and sincerity to make this an overall masterpiece. “Wake Up For The Night” is going to be his biggest single yet…” ~YourEDM
“Wake Up for the Night feat. Caroline Pennell.”
Again playing to his strength as a producer with a sophisticated, emotional brand of dance music, the song compliments strong song-writing with bright melodies. It’s somewhat of a specialty for this burgeoning producer whose music offers a depth and sincerity not often found in club music.
On vocals, Caroline Pennell delivers an exceptional performance to her evocative lyrics. Pennell is an emerging indie-pop singer/songwriter who first gained attention as a Top 8 contestant on The Voice in 2013.
Alyx and Caroline were introduced when he remixed her cover of Xavier Rudd’s “Follow the Sun.” The two instantly bonded and sought to create an original together. “I couldn’t be any happier with the way it turned out.
It’s beautiful and delicate, yet strong at the same time” says Ander when asked about the collaboration.
This marks the third release from the up-and-coming producer who is quickly acquiring a sizeable following among tastemakers and fans alike. Alyx Ander’s previous release, “Memories of You” spent an impressive 19 weeks on SiriusXM radio in the first half of the year, and his debut release, “Close Enough feat. Maria Z.” earned the support of Pete Tong, who premiered the song on Radio 1.
His music has been written about by Billboard, Mixmag, Your EDM, Dancing Astronaut and Magnetic Magazine. DJs like Tiësto, Avicii, Don Diablo, Michael Woods, Sam Feldt, EDX, and Sander Van Doorn have included his songs in their podcasts.
As a classically-trained pianist, Alyx began his musical career early, leading theatrical productions at Manhattan’s prestigious LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, otherwise known as the school that inspired multiple Fame films and television series, and later moving to Florida to attend the University of Miami.
