After weeks of deliberation, the winner of the RL Grime remix competition has been revealed!
New York duo noclue has been selected as the frontrunner in the contest. The group is comprised of Jake Generali and Owen Barclay, who’ve crafted a lighthearted, feel-good rendition of the popular Nova track. Their remix glides effortlessly, letting Daya‘s vocals shine before leading up to a lively future bass-influenced drop. Though the newcomers are at the beginning of their journey with just a few remixes under their belt, noclue show great promise with fresh flips of tracks like Lauv‘s “I Like Me Better” and Portugal. The Man‘s “Feel It Still.”
Dancing Astronaut partnered with WAVO.me and RL Grime to give producers the chance to remix “I Wanna Know.” The remix competition ran from June 4 to July 9, with the grand prize including a premiere on DA, a lifetime WAVO Pro membership, and an exclusive Nova merchandise capsule.
