Sasha’s forthcoming album Scene Delete has been described by the Welsh composer as a “split” in his career. Landing on the mix platform Late Night Tales on April 1, the 21-track LP will be filled with “unabashedly ambient” tracks that the electronic pioneer enjoys making, but couldn’t find a place for in previous albums.
Having previewed the first track fitting this mold “View2″ around a month ago, Alexander Coe follows up with a second fully-ambient album offering titled “Pontiac.” Carefully-orchestrated arpeggios sprinkle the six-minute clip, taking on a muted tone as the occasional vocal sample and shrill ring make appearances throughout. The placement of sounds and melodies is such that despite lacking in a consistent beat, “Pontiac” still presents itself as a finely-textured and goosebump-inducing piece of music.
