Authorities have returned to Amnesia Ibiza to expand their search after raiding the property and arresting owner Martin Ferrer on July 5. Ferrer’s son Marti Ferrer, the club’s artistic director, general/business partner David de Felipe, and accountant Vincente Pérez de Montis were also arrested.
Authorities spent 17 hours in the club following their raid, only exiting to allow the club to throw the popular Together party that night. Other properties owned by the accused in Ibiza and Barcelona, banks and the suspect’s bank accounts, and an Ibizan IT company that works with Amnesia are also included in the authorities’ search into “alleged crimes against the Treasury.”
Despite initial reports that the raid was an anti-drug operation, the focus is now on financial crimes.
