Since launching their paid subscription service, SoundCloud has elevated its business model to include premium streaming services like ad-free and offline listening. According to their blog, the latest features to roll out are a partnership with LANDR and app integration with Stagelight.
Together, SoundCloud and LANDR announce quality mastering for SoundCloud members, at no additional charge. A new format of LANDR has been launched specifically for SoundCloud streaming, making it easy for creators to innovate within the interface.
In addition to the free service, creators can also master songs in LANDR’s high-res WAV format, with the membership breakdown below:
- Creators on a free plan can master 1 track in LANDR’s high-res WAV format
- Creators on a Pro Plan can master up to 2 tracks in LANDR’s high-res WAV format
- Creators on a Pro Unlimited Plan can master up to 4 tracks in LANDR’s high-res WAV format.
SoundCloud has also joined forces with Stagelight for in-app lessons about music production. With new partnerships underway, the streaming platform aims to satisfy their subscription customer base by offering features that aren’t available on other streaming giant sites, like Spotify or Apple Music.
