Steve James was two for two with his last two releases, one coming in the form of a bangin’ Matthew Koma “Kisses Back” remix, the other coming as a unique joint rework of his own original “In My Head” with fellow wunderkind, Joe Mason. We thought that was it, or at least until Christmas, but he’s got yet another release for us, this time for one of the hottest new names to hit the scene, FRND. “Friend” was a subtly sassy and chilled out tune with a bite in its message. Now it’s a performance ready scorcher, with that same lyrical fervor we loved so much from before.
