I hate to be that guy but with the summer slowly coming to a close and the fall right around the corner, 2016 is pretty much over. Luckily for us, Spinnin‘ has unveiled their latest release from Audio Bullys & Surge to remind us that “It Was A Very Good Year.”
“I first heard the song in the tv series Sapranos , years ago. And have always wanted to do a rework. We played the original on New Years 2006 at a club called The sands in Amsterdam, and it got a special reaction from the crowd. I put this version together with Sven an reg from Surge at great Eastern Studios in Shorditch London. I was introduced to them by Aaron from Infinite Future and then bumped into them again at a Music Allstars session at Bullet Studios in The Netherlands. We decided to crack on back in London. Spinnin’ Records heard the track and were exited about the tune. It took us a long time and a good few different versions to get the cut right.
