\nSeven people are dead, five others in comas, and an unknown number have fallen ill following Vietnam Electronic Weekend (VEW)<\/strong>, according to several reports.<\/p>\n
<\/center><\/p>\nIt\u2019s believed this outbreak of suspected overdoses are linked to the same substance. However, police have yet to release an official number of ODs or identify the drug that may have caused this.<\/p>\n
\u201cInitial reports showed that seven people died and many others are receiving treatments at hospitals,\u201d Vnexpress quoted the district\u2019s spokeswoman, Vo Bich Thuy.<\/p>\n
Vietnam Electronic Weekend took place at Hanoi Water Park in Tay Ho District and featured EDM headliners including Ben Nicky, Yellow Claw and Headhunterz.<\/p>\n
One festival goer said there appeared to be 5,000 attendees, \u201cmost of them young, stacked in a narrow space with three stages.\u201d Another guest said many were using stimulants.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe incident is especially serious,\u201d an officer said.<\/p>\n
